What is a Lawful Basis for Finding People

This website is intended to be used for the sole purpose of finding Debtors, people who have a lawfully owing debt that have moved away from a previous address and not notified the Creditor.

Generally, this will fall under one of three lawful basis. Consent, Contract and Legitimate Interest.

Consent is perhaps the hardest criteria to fill as it debtors tend not to give consent when they intend on avoiding paying you, but with that said, it can happen.

Contract is another lawful basis and far more likely when dealing with a debtor. Contract is suitable when a debtor contracts with a Creditor to carry out services or provide goods and then does not get paid. Provided Debt Collection clauses exist in the contract, then you can outsource debt collection efforts including finding people.

Legitimate Interest this is perhaps the most flexible lawful basis and can be used when no contract or consent exists but when a debtor has a lawfully owing debt to you.

By using this website, you confirm to us that you have identified the lawful basis for processing and that you will not use the information, or pass on the information to be used, for any other purpose.
